⋆.˚✮ Hello! My name is Maria ✮˚.⋆

& I think in various streams of media

💻

I didn't grow up wanting to be an Art Director.

I wanted to be a psychologist.

…I quickly realized that what I actually loved was understanding people and what moves them. Design turned out to be a pretty good way to do just that!

Not out of necessity, but because I needed different ways to get ideas out of my head, I taught myself a lot of skills that have shaped my creative process. One of these skills is doing research which stems from going back to the basics of human expression:

Film, TV, Music, Books, Games, Art

I obsess over all of it in my process. I'm a collector at heart: beer labels, CDs, old photographs, physical media… I get into the nitty-gritty of why things matter and what context they live in because that's where great storytelling starts.

Growing up in the early 2000s put me somewhere between the physical and digital world, and I never really picked a side. Chronically online, but still happiest roaming the aisles of a vintage store: that mix shows up in how I make things.

I'm a multimedia creative based in Atlanta, GA, with a BFA in Advertising & Branding from SCAD. I've worked on both sides: inside teams as a Digital Marketing Intern at Pronghorn, and independently, taking on freelance and personal projects along the way.

Outside of client work, you'll find me thrifting, working my way through my watchlist, or trying a new recipe (I’m a huge foodie).

Currently looking for my next home as an Art Director… say hi!! ☺︎

If you want to talk Lynch films, thrift store finds, or just say hi, find me on Instagram and LinkedIn!
